SHOWS, EVENTS SHELL STATION WAS IN:
Great American Train Show - Novi, Michigan - January 2002
This is the last official event I decided that the Shell Station would be in. This is to ensure new creations would have a prominent place to display, and not have problems with the size of older and more traveled creations. This show was our biggest yet, and it was a challenge at many levels, but we still had a great time. Click on the picture for a bigger picture in a new window.

| Here is the back side of the station, where the employee parking is. You can see it changed a little due to the layout design and the train station being nearby. | Here is a good shot of the front, I took out some of the trees and put in a flower holder on the side. This usually happens when you don't touch it for a few months while you work on other items, such as a train station. | Here is a close up shot. You can see the flowers, and the Shell tow truck, which originally came from the Shell Station LEGO sold in the mid 1980's. I changed it to blue for some reason. It still looks busy! | Here is a good overall shot of the station, it was another crowd pleaser! |

| Here is the back of the station, where the employee parking is. You can see the snowplow, always handy for January Michigan weather. | A good set up shot here from Lester Witter. I am busily working on assembling the canopy lights. Steve Ringe and Jason Spears in the background are working on other parts of the layout. | Another shot of the station in construction, looks like I saw one of the pumps and left! | This looks like me with my coat on, looking for something, probably for that pump! |

| I'm still looking for something, looks like Lester sees how many pictures he can take until I noticed him! Lester! | Looks like I made Lester leave, but he took this as a spite anyway! I am still working, however. ; ) | I have the canopies up now, and am working on tiling the gap between the shop and the car wash. You can also see the roof of the Big Red Train Station. | Another shot of me tiling away. |

| Ah, completed. Here is the car wash with most of the details on it for the show. | Here is a good shot of the front of the station. | Here is a side shot with the flowers again. People must have loved those flowers! | A good shot of the Semi's in the back. Might need another dumpster for all that trash! |

| Here is a good shot of my corner, complete with the Gas Station and the Train Station. You can also see the downtown area behind them both. | Here is a close up shot, you can see some of the details and the back of the train station as well. | Here is a shot of the station from the other side. You can see our little area inside. It was so crowded it was hard to get in and out. | Here is a "alley" shot between the stations, you can see rather intent conversation going on, as well as the downtown area. |

| Here is a great side of the side, with a lot of stuff going on, and a lot of traffic. I see that Stormtrooper managed to get free from the icebox. | Here is a good shot of the front of the station. It is a thing of beauty! : ) | Here is another shot of the two stations. You can see me on the corner, obviously getting ready for the next part of the show! | |
