LEGO SHELL STATION - 04-24-2001

Here us an update for April 24th. I added several items here, including finishing the roof and putting in some minor details for now. I will get more later when I finalize the car wash's place on the layout.

Here is the roof, completed, with the two brick high awning wrapped around, on the flare of the sloped bricks. The original had it in white, but I don't like it in white at all.
Here is the final roof, I made it so it was easily taken off, with the black tiles and grille parts, it makes it real easy. I need to add more detail to the inside, I am awaiting a few Brickbay orders to complete it.
Here is the back of the car wash, where the cars will enter in. I put the light in, and the machine that takes your code or your cash. I put a sticker from the Shell stations there just for a little flare, and the car wash logo as well. I will have an entrance and a sidewalk, and some parking spots around when it is finally located.
Here is a close-up of the back there. Notice the lights and the machine.
Here is a minifig view shot (Almost!)
Here is the start of where the store and the gas pumps will go. As you can see, I reduced my initial size oft he store and canopy from 2 plates wide, each one, to one for the store, and 1.5 baseplates for the canopy. The other situation is just too big. I was estimating how much space how many cars can fit in the canopy, I was gunning for two on the inside, and one on the outside pump. There will be 4 pumps in all. The white bricks are the baseplate layout.
Here is a shot where I located both islands, and I was testing out how the tiles will look. I am still debating black or white. I do like the white in this shot, however. I am raising all the buildings and islands and so forth one plate to make sure I have even space for the tiles.
