Busch Gardens Visit

Here is the Beer cafe, but we just saw the birds and turtles and took a picture.
Another picture of this area.
Another picture of this area.
A Morning Dove enjoying the shade.
Another bird enjoying the shade. He was walking around the shade of this bush, which was funny to see.
Here is a picture of the Aviary. There are some birds on the limb, as well on the ground. Try and see if you can see them!
Here are some cranes resting in a pool. They seem agile and graceful.
Here is Busch Gardens flock of Pink Flamingos. They had at least 50 or 60, and they were located in this area. Some were asleep, and it was astounding how they did so.
Here are some more flamingo pictures, if you see little gray birds, those are the babies.
Another shot of them.
Some Morning Doves were hanging around here as well.
Boy was it hot. I was just miserable, as the picture suggests. Lynn, who seems to love being warm, didn't mind so much. At least we were in the shade!
I was trying to get a picture of Lynn and her mom, but they wouldn't stop, so I took this instead.
Here is a lizard hiding in the shade, I forgot the name. Looks like we had the same idea!
Here is a little area with a lot of turtles hanging around. There were birds here too, kind of interesting.
Here is the female of that bird species, probably protecting the eggs or resting.
The male was playing in the water, maybe trying to get something to eat.
One of the dragons there, just chilling out. Hot day!
In the aviary, they had some cages there, here are 2 Macaws, they were itching each others head, you can see the one on the right still fluffed up from that.
Such a pretty Macaw, yes you are! I was talking sweet to him or her.
Here is a Lorrie, he was sittign on top of the door structure to get in the aviary.
Here is the open air aviary, dedicated to the Lorries. Here is a group of them, you can see a pair having one of them check the others feathers. It was neat to see them in the open flying around.
They were letting people give the birds water and food in the aviary. This girl was pretty freaked out about it however.
Here are some more crane like birdies, they did not have a sign to them. But they looked really neat.
More pictures of those.
Here is another picture from the Lorries aviary. Here is Toucan, who had a hard time eating. He had to grab the morsel, throw it in the air, grab it in the middle of his beak, and then tilt his head back continuously, but he eventually got it down his throat.
Another shot of this Toucan.
Another picture of a Toucan.
Here are some Parrots, I am not too sure what they were, but Lynn's mom said they were pretty similar to their Amazon Parrot.
Here is a Cockatoo, chewing on leaves, I think.
Must get those leaves...... leaves.... yummy.
Here is a little stream they had in the aviary. A lot of birds were enjoying it, as you can tell.
Nice water, ey?
Here is a hot elephant. He was standing under the structure to avoid the sun. By the time we were here, I was about ready to pass out as well. He was also putting sand on himself, to cool him down. I actually  thought it was a good idea!

Here is another shot of the elephant.
Here is another elephant in the distance. The elephants were in a big area on the east end of the park.
ere is another elephant in the distance. The elephants were in a big area on the
You can see this tarp thing stretched here, most of the elephants moved to this area. The sun was beating down this day.
You can see the sand they put on themselves here.
Boy, am I hot!i
Hey look, I saw a race car at Busch Gardens! Yeah!!!!
