ATTENDEES:
Tony Hedglen
Stefan Garcia
Steve D. Weiser (Steve-3)
PICTURE DIRECTORIES:
This event started with my acknowledgment of my inability to sort my collection in time for MichLUG's upcoming shows, so I thought I would host a weekend of sorting, since my lovely and adoring wife, Lynn, had to go to Chicago for some additional pharmacist training. This was a rare opportunity, and I think we made the most of it. : )
Friday Night:
I arrived home around 5:00PM from work, I left early the first time in months, and I started to get things ready. Unknown to me, Steve and Tony arrived early, and I did not hear the doorbell, so I happened to glance out the door, and saw them. That was around 5:45PM. They came in, and we got settled in. After a quick meal from Pizza Hut, we set out to sort. Tony and Steve started on the BASIC bricks, while I finished sorting some newly acquired sets. Steve brought some neat music, and we plunged into the night. Stefan arrived around 8:30PM or so, and got him working quickly, after he showed me his latest raids from the Elkhart Wal-Mart store. He started on the tiles, and we sorted for an extended time. We ended up wrapping things up around 2:00AM or so, after a brief stint of watching the news and the latest developments of the war in Iraq. We also watched a portion of Naked Space, where we learned the harmless little diddy, 'I Want to Eat Your Face'.

Saturday:
Saturday morning started around 8:00AM or so, and most got up and watched the news, while various members got ready. We made a Meijer run, to pick up some Ziploc bags and ice cream. We went to the clearance aisle, and saw that all clearance items had an additional 25% off. So we made some purchases and left that store. We went to another Meijer store, where I knew that there where older sets, and we made out with some nice sets. We drove down the toll road, and got home around 11:30AM, where we started again after a lunch of pizza and a brunch of donuts. I continued to work on the newer sets, while Stefan started the slope parts, and Steve worked on the decorated tiles, and Tony worked on the Miscellaneous and Cylindrical parts. I finished up the newer sets and started working on the minifig items. We had some lively discussions, and a good time, and retired around 12:30AM.
Sunday:
Sunday was the final day of this, and I decided to stay home from church, and we got started yet again, Tony and Steve worked on plates, while Stefan worked on the slopes, and finished those. Around 12, Tony and Steve finished up, and they got started on the draft. There were multiple copies of Jedi Starfighter, Life on Mars Recon Mech, HP Dueling Club, and the Life on Mars Solar Explorer. After a quick lunch, they started the draft, while I continued on the minifig stuff. We wrapped up around 4:30PM, and everyone went home. It was a great time, and I want to say thanks for all of your help! : )
A tall thank you goes out
